COA Launches New Website

Published: 7 March 2014

MANILA, Philippines – The Commission on Audit (COA) launches today its new website designed in accordance with the Integrated Government Philippines (iGovPhil) project of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST).

Since its creation in 1999, this is the first time that the COA website has been upgraded to include a more user-friendly layout, interactive pages, a domain-wide search tool, and sideby- side preview of pages in separate sites, among other improvements.

COA Chairperson Maria Gracia M. Pulido Tan said the project is part of the Commission’s commitment to strengthen its relationship with its various stakeholders and to increase transparency and accountability in government. “It is my personal advocacy to make COA a more transparent agency by making the features of our website easier for the public to navigate. We commit to timely and up-to-date posting of reports, news and other COA documents.”

“We also hope that through this, all government agencies are kept informed on COA auditing and accounting rules and regulations,” Chairperson Pulido Tan added.

The new website integrates a Legal Information Archive, a digital repository of COA issuances, resolutions, decisions and other key legislations and jurisprudence affecting the Commission, accountability for public funds, and auditing and accounting regulations.

The iGovPhil Project, an initiative of DOST’s Information and Communications Technology Office and Advanced Science and Technology Institute, aims to enhance government efficiency and effectiveness through interactive, interconnected and interoperable government applications and online services.
