The Commission on Audit (COA) was recognized by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for its invaluable support in the advancement of SEC’s strategic initiatives during the 88th SEC Anniversary Celebration and Appreciation Night held on 10 December 2024 at the SecECenter, The SEC Headquarters in Makati City.
With the theme: “Reach for the STARS: Shining Through Achievements, Reinvention, and Sustainability,” the SEC honored esteemed individuals and agencies from both the public and private sectors who have supported them in the pursuit of its mandates in 2024. The SEC gave awards for contribution to ease of doing business, capital market development, investor education and protection, sustainability and corporate governance, and organizational development.

COA Commissioner Roland Café Pondoc received the award on Organizational Development in behalf of COA. He was joined by COA Director Maria Theresa S. Yambao. The SEC recognized COA for its “dedication to fostering transparency, enhancing the Philippine Capital markets and driving sustainable growth which played a key role in empowering the business sector.”
Commissioner Pondoc noted that the award is a testament to the hard work and commitment shown by COA officials and personnel in ensuring transparency and accountability in the use of government resources and enhancing public trust in government financial systems. “Rest assured that we will continue to partner with the SEC in driving economic progress and sustainable development,” Commissioner Pondoc said. #
