Commission on Audit (COA) Commissioner Roland C. Pondoc was recognized for his exemplary leadership as an officer of the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) during PICPA’s recently concluded virtual Appreciation and Graduation Ceremony on 29 June 2021.
Commissioner Pondoc received the Presidential Leadership Award, Outstanding Senior Regional Director award, and Outstanding Chair of Geographical Area Office (Mindanao) award. He was also given the Certificate of Perfect Attendance for attending all of the Regular Monthly National Board of Directors Meeting for FY 2020-2021.

Commissioner Pondoc is the Vice President for Government Sector of the PICPA National Board and the Senior Regional Director for the PICPA-Southern Mindanao Region (SMR) for Fiscal Year 2020-2021.
“Every officer and member of PICPA-SMR have worked hard and committed to undertake activities to improve capabilities and face the challenges of the pandemic. I am proud that three Chapter Presidents of PICPA-SMR have also received Outstanding Chapter Presidents award under my term. I wish to express my gratitude and felicitations to everyone at PICPA,” said Commissioner Pondoc.
Commissioner Pondoc was a recipient of the National Award of PICPA for four times: as Most Outstanding CPA in Education in 2008; as Most Outstanding PICPA Member in 2009; as Most Outstanding PICPA Chapter President in 2015; and as Most Outstanding CPA in Government in 2018.
The PICPA is the accredited professional organization (APO) of Certified Public Accountants by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and has been awarded twice as PRC’s most outstanding APO from among other professional organizations.
