PDS Training Program


NOMINATION PROCEDURES AND/OR GUIDELINES
(COA Personnel)


1.

PDS shall only accept those nominations duly approved by the following officials:

  1.1 Assistant Commissioners – for staff assigned in their respective offices;
  1.2

Chief Executive Staff of the Chairman’s Office and the Chiefs of Staff of the Commissioners’ Offices – for employees assigned in these Offices;

  1.3

Directors – for staff assigned in their respective sectors / offices / clusters including those in the field offices; and

  1.4

Regional Cluster Directors for Administration, Finance and GAFMIS – for attendance of regional support personnel in courses / seminars not offered by/in the regions.

Personnel nominated to any of the PDS courses must meet all of the following criteria:

  2.1 He/She is the target participant identified in the Schedule of Course Offerings;
  2.2 He/She has taken the basic or pre-requisite courses before taking the advance courses; and
  2.3 He/She has not attended a similar course in the past.
3.

PDS Nomination Form 1 shall be accomplished for each course and schedule.

4.

PDS shall confirm the nominee’s attendance through fax, letter or phone calls. The nominees may follow-up the action taken on their nominations thru the PDS telephone numbers (951-0931 and 931-7847).

5.

Nominations to the COA Senior Executive Development Program (SEDP) shall be in accordance with the Criteria and Guidelines set forth under COA Memorandum dated June 19, 2006.

  5.1

You are to give priority to your personnel who most need the course/ module since slots for each course / module are limited.

6.

For the clusters / sectors who have already submitted to PDS the required courses and number of personnel to be trained this year, a communication shall be sent to you on the details of your nomination.

7.

Should there be additional classes for programmed courses occasioned either by the increased demand or changes in the schedule prompted by the unavailability of resource persons, or other reasons, such information shall be disseminated through invitation letters.
