Property and supply Management System

This course is designed to equip auditors with the necessary knowledge in property and supply management system. Cases, short exercises and games are learning strategies to be used to reinforce the participants’ learning in understanding the processes adopted in the different phases: from Planning, Maintenance until Disposal.

Power Tools for Financial Data Analysis

This course is an MS Excel based. It discusses the data analysis (basic and advance topics), investment decisions using the goal seek tool, business case analysis using the solver tool and financial planning tools – forecasting and trending). Target participants are expected to have basic knowledge on MS Excel. (Pre-requisite course: Basic ICT

RA 9184 and the Generic Procurement Manual (GPM)

The Course seeks to provide the participants with clear, concise and accurate information on the procurement of goods and services. The various steps undertaken to effect procurement as prescribed under RA 9184 are the focus of the discussion. Important issues that may confront government officials in all steps of procurement are also discussed and appropriate activities/workshops are given to facilitate learning.

13) Refresher Course

This two-day course is designed for COA employees who need to enhance their working knowledge in English and Mathematics. Short exercises will be given to participants to reinforce their learning both in written and oral communications and develop their analytical skills in mathematics.

14) Senior Executive Development Program (SEDP)

This is an advanced Leadership Course specially designed to provide COA Senior Executives a joint opportunity to upgrade their managerial knowledge, values, attitudes and skills in pursuit of their collective mission of enforcing fiscal discipline and preventing corruption in the Philippine Government. (The schedules on Action Project Presentation and Oral Defense, and Integration Phase shall be announced later).

15) Supervisory Development Course

This course is a managerial/supervisory training for first line supervisors of the Commission on Audit, which deals with skills necessary in handling subordinates to make them productive. Sessions include discussions on enhancement of personal effectiveness, coaching, monitoring, delegation and performance appraisal. Structured Learning Activities (SLA) are inherent in the design to make the seminar trainee-centered. (Target participants are with SG 18 to 22)

16) Updates on Information Systems Audit

This course is intended for the auditors who have taken previous course on IS Audit seminars from CY 2005 and backward. This covers guide for the review of IT contract component pertaining to the development/delivery of financially related systems. Concerns for the generation of the use of ERP solutions in the government operations will also be discussed. (Target participants are auditors who have attended ISA seminars from CY 2005 and backward)

Values Orientation Workshop

This workshop focuses on the three areas of a person namely: one’s personhood, being a civil servant and being a Filipino citizen. The participants will go through a process of self-clarification, examination, self-visualization and analysis of realities for him to relate himself to the expectations of other people and the society as a whole. It gives opportunities for the participants to clarify their own values and how they can align them to their own vision through the use of methodologies like role-playing, video-showing, brainstorming, imagery and lecturette. (No pre-requisite Course)
