Under the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) project entitled Enhancing the Public Accountability Programme of the Philippine Commission on Audit (COA): Government-wide and Sectoral/VFM Audit (GWSPA) and Audit Team Approach, the Commission on Audit (COA) and Stanton Partners, International Consultants have been working together for the last year to strengthen |
the Commission’s understanding of Performance Auditing through a policy review, program of training and a program of pilot audits of specific government programs. COA Family
celebrates Chairman Guillermo N. Carague and Commissioners Raul C. Flores and Emmanuel M. Dalman led the COA family in celebrating Christmas 2002 on December 19 at the COA Sports and Cultural Center. The celebration started with a Thanksgiving Mass with Most Rev. Fr. Teodoro Bacani Jr. as celebrant and Rev. Fr. Dante B. Tamayo as co- celebrant. It was then followed by the Christmas greetings of COAns to the Commission Proper. Immediately after the mass, the COA officials and employees trooped to the stage and greeted Chairman Carague and the two Commissioners. [ Full Story ] |
COA, Philgasea ink The Commission on Audit and the Philippine Government Audit
Service Employees Association have recently signed a Collective Negotiation
Agreement crafted and designed to "foster and improve a noble and enduring
relationship between the employees and management through better employment and
working conditions in order to attain maximum efficiency and improve the welfare
and well-being of the workers." Chairman Guillermo N. Carague and
Commissioners Raul C. Flores and Emmanuel M. Dalman signed the CNA for COA while
PhilGASEA President Hilario A. Virtudazo Jr. and Board Chairman Francia O.
Sanchez signed for the PhilGASEA. |

COA, UNDP
launch Manual The Commission on Audit and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) formally launched the Manual on the Conduct of Participatory Audit during formal rites at the COA Complex in Quezon City on January 21, 2003. The Participatory Audit Project, a component of the UNDP-funded project called "Enhancing the Public Accountability Programme of the Philippine Commission on Audit (COA-EnPAP), is the conduct of state audit with the involvement of representatives of civil society and/or private professional organizations (CSOs) who are selected, trained and deputized as members of a COA Audit Team.
