It’s all systems go for the holding of the Lingap ng COA
Family Foundation, Inc. “Lunch for a Cause,” and the launching of the
foundation’s Scholarship Program, as well as the celebration of a Healing Mass
by Fr. Corsie Legaspi on December 7 and 14, 2001, respectively.
This was announced on Nov. 20 by LCFFI President Amorsonia B.
Escarda after a series of meetings held in preparation for the “Lingap”
December 2001 activities.
More than 1,000 COA officials, division chiefs, audit unit
heads, senior state auditors and other patrons who continue to support LCFFI
(COA Operation Lingap) socio-civic activities are expected to jam the COA Sports
and Cultural Center for the “Lunch for a Cause.”
At the same time, the LCFFI patrons will be witnesses to the
launching of the Lingap Scholarship and Educational Assistance Program, the
foundation’s main project now and in the years to come.
Chairman Guillermo N. Carague and Commissioners Raul C.
Flores and Emmanuel M. Dalman have been invited to be the guests of honor during
the lunch and scholarship program launching.
Proceeds of the P500-per-plate fund drive will be used
exclusively for the scholarship program which is designed to benefit qualified
low-salaried COAns or their qualified dependents.
To be presented certificates of scholarship during the
December 7, 2001 affair are:
Yolanda B. Lalosa, 35, Messenger assigned at the HRMO 201
File Division; Ruperto B. Mendoza, Utility Worker, Cordillera Administrative
Region; Jaypee H. Hernandez, son of Policarpio A. Hernandez, Junior Process
Server, PMD; Glenn M. Lumanglas, son of Gregorio and Evelyn Lumanglas, Utility
Worker II, CAO II, and Junior Process Server, Chairman’s Office, respectively;
and Jeffrey John M. Badidles, son of Douglas C. Badidles, Utility Foreman, AO
Records Division.
Meanwhile all committees for the Healing Mass to be
celebrated by Healing Priest Fr. Corsie have been created and ready to do their
part in the religious/healing activity.
Dir. Escarda told COA News she is expecting hundreds of
people afflicted with various illnesses to flock to the COA Sports and Cultural
Center on December 14, 2001.
Registration for the healing activity starts on November 26,
2001 at the Corporate Audit Office I.
